Description
MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead and Swampscott are combining to provide pickup for household hazardous waste items once again this fall on Sept. 15.
The towns have altered their recycling program this year to pick up items at houses because of the coronavirus health crisis.
Oil paint, latex paint, gasoline, pesticides, auto batteries, acidic cleaning products, antifreeze, pool chemicals and other similar items can be left curbside where the waste management company ACV Enviro will remove them.
Residents must pre-register for a pickup time between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Registration for a pickup must be done here by Sept. 13.
Items not accepted include ammunition, light bulbs, insulation and syringes.
