WALLINGFORD, CT — A portion of Durham Road in Wallingford is expected to be closed for several weeks for a sewer main replacement project, according to police. Durham Road will be closed between East Main Street and Cheryl Avenue from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for the project, according to police. Police said the closure will begin Tuesday, Aug. 31 and is expected to last through Sept. 24. Police announced the following detour routes for the project: Detour routes: From east: left onto Cheryl Avenue, right onto Cooper Avenue, right onto Westview Drive, right onto East Main Street.
