Good Monday morning Connecticut, The weekend as always goes too fast. It looks like we'll be seeing some rain drops off-and-on throughout the day, and possibly a thunderstorm this afternoon and evening. Heads up! A few stronger thunderstorms are likely this afternoon. The remnants of hurricane Ida will begin to impact the state Wednesday afternoon. Rain is forecast to arrive Wednesday afternoon and continue through much of Thursday. Flooding is a concern. The silver lining is that Friday, Saturday and Sunday currently look perfect with sunshine and temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. We definitely deserve a nice, sunny weekend. (Read more at CTNewsJunkie.com). State Police are investigating after a man was found shot and killed in a car located off of the I-91 northbound exit 42 on-ramp in Windsor Locks. State Police are investigating after Joanna Lynne Walker, 71, of Rancho Murieta, CA was found dead inside a car that was parked in the I-84 eastbound Exit 2 commuter lot in Danbury. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact them. (Read more here). The Centers for Disease Control has now placed Tolland County in the "High Transmission" category of COVID-19. Tolland is the seventh county in the state to be upgraded to the High Transmission category. Fairfield, Hartford, Litchfield, New Haven, New London and Middlesex Counties also are listed as High Transmission. The Hartford Courant had live coverage Saturday about a protest concerning the mandate that students wear masks in schools at least through the end of September. (Read more here).
