Correction: The event will take place Sunday. MORRISTOWN, NJ — Morristown will have a unique opportunity to remember those lost in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. The Tunnel to Towers Never Forget Walk will come to town on Sunday. The parade, which begins at 11 a.m., will run from the Morristown Green to 200 South St. A barbecue will also take place. The full route for the Never Forget Walk began Aug. 1 in Washington, D.C., and will culminate Sept. 11 at Ground Zero. The series of events covers 500 miles. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is dedicated to honoring FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller, who laid down his life to save others on Sept. 11, 2001. Tunnel to Towers Chairman and CEO Frank Siller will pass through six states over the course of six weeks to honor the 2,977 who lost their lives on Sept. 11 and the heroism of first responders. On Aug. 1, Siller and his family hosted a private wreath-laying ceremony at the Pentagon. Afterward, the walk kicked off with a press conference at Arlington Fire Station 5 featuring Siller, Tunnel to Towers program recipients, lawmakers and first responders. More than 400 supporters then joined Siller in walking 12.3 miles from Arlington Fire Station 5 to the D.C. Armory, where the Foundation hosted a barbecue.
