DALLAS, TX —Kid Rock didn't.
After an announcement on Twitter, Rock — whose birth name is Robert Ritchie — cancelled two Fort Worth concerts over the weekend. As he explained to his fans in typical candor, "over half the band has f Covid."
Rock's troupe was set to perform last weekend at Billy Bob's on both the 27th and 28th of August.

Naturally, Rock wasn't shy about attacking the "s#I* for brains bloggers and media trolls," claiming that his entourage who are now suffering with COVID-19 were vaccinated.
All of this comes on the heels of the band's appearance before a capacity crowd during the two-week Sturgis Motorcycle Rally on August 8. That festival has been termed "a superspreader event" just like the one held last year despite the absence of any tangible treatments in 2020.
At the time, Rock boasted about the size of the crowd gathered, and proclaimed that "there is nothing the mainstream media or internet and social media trolls can do but look at this pic and weep, knowing they will never beat us."
A spokesperson for the venue says that while there's nothing certain on the books yet, the hall and Rock's team are trying to find "mutually workable dates" to reschedule his appearances."
