Press release from Western Kentucky University: August 28, 2021 WKU's College of Education and Behavioral Sciences is proud to announce its first faculty class selected for membership to the National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity (NCFDD). The six CEBS faculty members joining the NCFDD are: Dr. Sungjin Im, Assistant Professor, Department of PsychologyDr. Im's research focuses on bridging the gap between cognitive neuroscience and clinical science by applying a wide range of cutting-edge approaches including fMRI, EEG, ECG, EDA, EMG, impedance cardiograph, and computerized behavioral tasks. Dr. Ellen Casale, Assistant Professor, School of Teacher EducationDr. Casale's research interests include students with more complex needs and low-incidence disabilities, including autism. Dr. Tim Thornberry, Assistant Professor and Director of the Doctor of Psychology Program, Department of Psychology Dr. Thornberry's research relates to primary care psychology topics, especially parenting, prevention, and public health. Dr. Jessie Torelli, Assistant Professor, School of Teacher Education Dr. Torelli's research focuses on improving assessment and intervention for students who engage in challenging behavior. Dr. Sarah Ochs, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology Dr. Ochs' research interests are technical adequacy and practical utility of universal screening measures, computer administered and computer adaptive approaches to administration and scoring, and issues related to early career development and training of future faculty.
