PASADENA, CA — Caitlyn Jenner hit the campaign trail during the weekend to make her case to Pasadena voters on why they should vote for her to replace Gov. Gavin Newsom as California's next governor, according to the Pasadena Star-News.
Jenner was at the Pasadena Hilton Saturday for a town hall event and fielded questions from a group of three dozen people, the Star-News reported. The 71-year-old has lagged in the polls while conservative radio host Larry Elder has been seen as the Republican frontrunner in the election.
The recall election takes place Sept. 14, and voters will be asked two questions on the ballot: should Newsom be recalled, and who should replace him.
Eligible residents had until Monday to register to vote to receive a mail-in ballot. However, residents can still register in person at a voting center until the end of election day, according to the California Secretary of State website.
