Older metal guitarist looking for people MULTIPLE projects

Hi all. Older metal guitarist (40’s) looking for a couple of different projects to work on. I like a lot of different styles but primarily play death metal, thrash and some crossover stuff. I am also partially disabled from an accident I had a few years ago that messed my knee up for good so I wont be jumping around cockrockin out or anything lol, just making that clear. Anyways, I am primarily a rhythm guitarist/main songwriter in the vein of an Eric Petersen, Max Cavalera (Arise era), Scott Ian, Trey Azagthoth and Jeff Hanneman thrown in. Have plenty of great gear and time on my hands to work on stuff to get up to speed fast if joining a band that is already formed. This is what I am looking to do.. First, I’m kinda interested in starting/joining a doom style band, but a VERY heavy dark one, think Triptykon meets Katatonia/Novembers Doom or something. Not so much the traditional sabbathy, stoner rock type, although I have no problem with getting stoned and jammin out lol. For the record, I DON’T drink and just like a mellow lite buzz, no other drugs whatsoever. I do plan on going for more of an old school swedish death metal tone as I think this would be pretty awesome sounding with slower songs overall. Next…. A death/thrash cover band…. SOOOOOO many great songs but no one to play em with. I’m up for just about anything for this project, minus power/dragon/pirate metal. Would love to play local shows, long sets of nothing but awesome covers that no one really does, but at the same time, make people go “oh shit I know that one!!”...and I can play just about anything… As an example, I have already done a few slayer songs, sepultura, fear factory, entombed, bolt thrower, testament, morbid angel, cannibal corpse, anthrax, meshuggah, death angel, machine head, exodus, nile, suicidal, samael, at the gates, ghost, death, and so on…….. not looking for Djent/deathcore or 300bpm tech death. None of that is fun to play or memorable… and I have 3, 8 string guitars. Need everyone but rhythm guitar for this. Intermediate to pro depending on the instrument, but it’s gotta be tight Finally, my personal project of all my music that I have written and recorded over the years…. I am in the process of modernizing my entire catalog of about 45 songs and am looking for an AWESOME metal vocalist to handle the recording portion. This WILL be music that is released professionally and promoted on major websites like Metal Injection/Blabbermouth, Sirius, Youtube, college/hard rock radio stations and so on. With that being the goal, nothing but your absolute best effort will be required. You will probably hate me for a few weeks after its all done, but the end result will be worth it. If things go well and there is legit interest in the metal community, I will put an official band together to promote it live but for now, it’s about finishing a labor of love first… what do you get out of it besides the best performance of your career?
