SHARON HILL, PA — A young girl was killed and two other young people were hurt in a drive-by shooting at a Pennsbury football game in Delaware County over the weekend, according to authorities and reports. Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer said Friday's shooting in Sharon Hill took the life of 8-year-old Fanta Bility. The shooting occurred at about 9 p.m. Friday at Academy Park High School on Calcon Hook Road in Sharon Hill, Action News reports. According to the outlet, the football game had just ended when shots were fired. WHYY reports Bility died at CHOP from a gunshot wound to the neck. Fox News report that two other juveniles — one of whom was the deceased girl's 12-year-old sister — were also wounded. The DA's office said on Monday that no one is in custody. The DA's office said part of the investigation into the shooting includes the police discharge of weapons following initial shots fired by civilians in the area surrounding the football stadium. "On Friday night, a terrible tragedy occurred — the senseless death of eight-year-old Fanta Bility," Stollsteimer said. "Our thoughts and prayers remain with her family and friends at this most difficult time." Written by Max Bennett Editor's Note: A previous report on this story incorrectly listed the victim's age.
