ELMHURST, IL — A man walking his dog in an Elmhurst neighborhood on Sunday night was held up at gunpoint by two men, local police said Monday. The pedestrian told police he was in the 300 block of Cayuga Avenue at 9:45 p.m. when he noted a light colored or white SUV pass several times, according to a police news release. A short while later, two suspects got out of the vehicle, displayed a black handgun, demanded money and patted the man down, police said. Nothing was taken, and the two men drove away west on Wilson Street, the release said. The men were described as black and wearing cloth masks. The first one was 18 to 20 years old, 5-foot-8 and 160 pounds, while the other was 30 years old, 5-foot-10 and 200 pounds, police said.
