All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt. Aug. 23: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Route 25A in Smithtown from Aug. 22 at 10 p.m. Someone left their vehicle in a parking lot overnight between Aug. 22 and 23, police said. During the night, a thief broke a window and stole a wallet containing credit cards and identification documents, police said.Aug. 22: Burglary (second-degree) was reported on West Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown at 2:30 a.m. Someone entered a Mobil gas station by using a cinder block to break a glass door, police said. The person stole the cash register and cartons of cigarettes before fleeing, police said.
