Key Responsibilities: • Perform all functions in accordance with operating and safety guidelines and observe the general safety rules; • Perform daily inspection of gear and equipment and immediately report any deficiencies to the Equipment Manager; • Ensure the gear/equipment (e.g., rigging equipment, slings, shackles, straps, chains, wires, cables, etc.) is properly returned, in acceptable and working condition, and organized and stored in an orderly and neat fashion and easily accessible; • Assign tools and gear to crew; • Perform general/minor repair to equipment and gear and work closely with maintenance to identify repairs and ensure there is a maintenance plan for said repairs; • Maintain a clean work area, free of debris or safety hazards and awareness of surroundings {i.e. vehicles, people, equipment, etc.) at all times; • Perform other duties as assigned. Benefits: • Competitive Salary • Medical Plans • Dental Plans • Vision Plans • Basic Life Insurance • Red Wings Boot Voucher • TWIC Card Program • Employee Assistance Programs • Training Development Programs Qualifications: • High School diploma or equivalent, required; • Proven mechanical aptitude; • General understanding and knowledge of rigging equipment (e.g., slings, shackles, straps, chains, wires, cables, etc.); • Must be able to safely and properly operate a chainsaw on occasion; • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to drive and operate company vehicles, following company policies and procedures regarding the operation thereof; • Must have a reliable means of transportation in order to report to work as scheduled and required; • Required to obtain a TWIC card; • Must be able to read, write, and speak in English; bi-lingual in Spanish preferred; • Excellent customer service and problem solving skills; • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with various internal departments; • Proven ability to think logically, excellent critical thinking skills, and can make sound decisions; • Flexible and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; • Thrive in a fast-paced environment; • Team player and can-do attitude; • Able to exercise independent judgment within established systems and procedures; • Possesses organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize and be detail oriented.
