L.W. Meyer, Inc. is looking for a Delivery Driver to join their team in Madison, WI. L.W. Meyer, Inc. is a full-service contractor supply with four locations across Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. We supply hundreds of customers in general construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security with power tools, hardware, safety supplies, and much more. As our Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for assisting in our warehouse as needed and for the timely delivery of product to customers on specific routes. This position may include, but are not limited to, the following responsibilities and requirements (in no particular order): Assisting in warehouse on a needed basis Verifying products to be delivered to customers Ensure paperwork is filled out properly Load and unload product(s) Delivery of product with a smile o If going to a jobsite – customer must be contacted to ensure proper delivery location o Offload product with or without help from customer o Build a rapport with customer(s) After returning to shop – all yellow copies of delivery tickets must be turned in to Billing Department in their proper baskets Vendor/Customer pickups o Load product in vehicle and make sure you have all paperwork associated with the pickup o When back to shop – unload product, either by hand and/or use of forklift Make sure the paperwork is properly handed into Receiving Department Make sure Receiving Department knows where product has been placed Ensure both general and preventative maintenance measures are performed on your assigned vehicle o Fluid checks, i.e. oil, wiper fluid, coolant, etc. o Oil changes will be your responsibility – using our fleet program and/or company credit card o Make sure gas level is proper before shift ends o Keep your vehicle clean – inside and out
