Job description We are HIRING for all of the Permian Basin area! POSITION SUMMARY With limited supervision, responsible for operating conveying equipment and driving industrial truck equipped with lifting devices, such as a forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam, and swivel-hook, fork-grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch, to push, pull, lift, stack tier, or move containers at the frac site or transload site to the proper location or conveyor belt. Understanding of material management on site. Troubleshooting silo equipment or running the Atlas conveyor system. Essential Functions Statement(s) • Monitors orders and schedules and reviews daily work plan with supervisor • Assists site crew with mobilization of conveyor systems • Monitors and controls automated conveyor belt system that conveys containers and/or silos of sand to the well head for frac process • Presses buttons and turns dials to start conveyor system and regulate speed of conveyor system • Observes containers and/or silos moving on conveyors, or observes lights on control panel to monitor flow and operation of system • Stops equipment and clears jams, using hand tools • Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus • Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded containers and/or silos, and transports load to designated area • Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device • May load or unload containers onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device • Coordinates loading of containers to conveyor system with supervisor and conveyor belt operator. • Coordinates removal of empty containers and/or silos with supervisor and conveyor belt operator • Observes operation to detect equipment malfunction; informs supervisor when malfunction occurs • Ensures containers and/or silos are recorded accurately in the tracking system • Perform basic troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical failures of equipment at the wellsite • May perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment or inspect equipment prior to start-up and record equipment condition and any maintenance performed • May lubricate truck, recharge batteries, fill fuel tank etc. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS & ABILITIES Education: • High School Diploma or GED required. • Sufficient education to complete written documentation and records; or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics. • Must be able to read and interpret work plans and orders, use simple math, and use basic hand held measuring tools Experience & Skills: • 2+ Years’ Experience of conveyor system operation or comparable experience along with prior experience operating small equipment including 36,000 pound capacity forklifts • Experience with oilfield uni-belt/dual-belt frac conveyors desirable. • Previous oilfield or drilling site operations experience is preferred • Basic computer skills required • Must be able to communicate effectively, using both written and spoken forms of communication. • Must be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision. • Must be willing to work any assigned shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays. • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full time basis and be at least 18 years of age. • Must have high safety standard for self and others. • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others Certifications & Licenses: Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record within past five years for insurance carrier coverage Physical Demands: (Frequently) Position requires carrying, pushing, pulling 65 pounds of weight from 66% of the time (8+ hrs./day) Other Physical Requirements: • Regularly required to sit or stand, reach and move about the site/facility. • Frequently lift 65 lbs. or more. • Frequently climbs ladders and stairs. Work Environment: Work performed in a well site environment. Exposure to inclement weather as most work will be performed outside. Personal Protective Equipment: • Safety glasses, hard hat and steel toe boots must be worn at all times. • Auditory and fall protection applicable when required.
