Darla’s beautiful face and sweet spirit make her an easy companion. She has returned to us by a hard turn of life, and through no fault of her own. She does well with dogs of a similar size and play style, rides well in a car, and is quiet and easygoing. She gets a little kick of energy and is ready to toss a toy around, or give a little wag to her favorite people. Darla is dreaming of a yard to run in, and maybe a dog friend to run with, and a family to love. Apply for adoption to give this girl a new chance!
For more information on our adoptions or to see Darla's webpage, visit http://www.PawsOfHertfordCounty.org. Our process: If you are interested in Darla or any of our adorable adoptables, please fill out an adoption application here: https://www.pawsofhertfordcounty.org/forms/. An adoption counselor will be in contact with you following the submission of your application. If approved, they will arrange a meet and greet at one of our monthly trips to Chesapeake or at our shelter. Visits to the shelter are by appointment only, as we are a volunteer-run rescue organization.
All PAWS dogs are spayed/neutered, and current on the vaccinations appropriate for their age. Those who are confirmed over 4 months old or older will have their rabies vaccinations. Age permitting, dogs/puppies are tested for heartworm. All are treated with flea/tick prevention and given internal parasite preventative on a regular basis. All are microchipped (for their safety and the adopter's peace of mind) as part of the adoption fee.
