An evening of power pop from Raleigh's Stray Local and Wake Forest's own Elese Corson! Stray Local is the husband-and-wife indie pop duo of Hannah and Jamie Rowen based in Raleigh, North Carolina. The pair performs a bouquet of indie sounds punctuated by powerful vocal melodies, catchy guitar riffs, and vibey keys woven together with hints of their folk beginnings and pop sensibilities. As a duo these two are fun to watch. While Jamie holds down the guitars and harmonies, Hannah bounces between keys, glockenspiel, drum pads, and a foot tambourine, often playing all four at once while delivering a powerful lead vocal. Since the band's formation in 2013, Stray Local, has performed internationally with festival appearances at FIMU (France), Fire in the Mountain (Wales), and Stonehenge Solstice Festival (United Kingdom) as well as stateside with various regional tours along the east coast. About Elese Corson: Elese Corson is an aspiring young artist from Wake Forest, North Carolina. Elese began writing music at fifteen where she recorded her debut EP and was signed to Center Sound Records soon after. Elese has performed at many festivals including SXSW in Austin Texas, SunFest in West Palm Beach Florida and more opening up for major Recording Artists such as Joe Galaxy, Flo Rida, and Tinashe. Elese is currently pursing a degree in Music Industry Studies at Appalachian State University where she and hopes to continue down a career path of creating music. Elese started getting out there and performing throughout the area, hitting all the local college towns that are always eager to hear new music. Around this time she was introduced to Craig Brandwynne of Center Sound Records. He quickly saw the maturity and talent in Elese Corson and began collaborating with her to further develop her sound. The lead single “Gravity” is a great introduction to Elese Corson’s music. The melodic tones open the door but the true highlight is her powerful and wide ranged vocals. There is emotion poured into the lyrics that provide that relatable aspect for anyone listening.
