Dinner w/ Ethan Becker! Join us for a Wine and Dine with the legendary Ethan Becker. Ethan is the grandson of Irma S. Rombauer, the original author of The Joy of Cooking. He attended Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, but learned how to cook from his mother. An outdoors-man, he is a master of the grill and at cooking game. His outdoor gear and survival and combat knives are sold internationally under the brand Becker Knife and Tool. To honor Ethan's family heritage all wines served during this event will be from the Rombauer vineyards. Menu for the evening will be Water Cress Salad w/ Citrus Vinaigrette (tribute to Ethan's Mom), Pork Orloff, Veggie, Starch, and Ice Cream over Maa Bicker Brownies (Cockaigne) w/ Raspberry. Each menu item comes with lots of stories! Menu will be prepared Chef Craig Kuhns and all menu recipes are from the cookbook "The Joy of Cooking". Limited copies of the revised cookbook will be available for purchase. Please call if you would like to reserve yours in advance. Cost for this class is $75/person. No refunds or credits will be given if cancelled within 72 hours of event Please notify us if you have any allergies. Adjustments can not be made during class. Know we will be taking all precautions regarding COVID-19 during the classes. Kitchen is completely sanitized before each class, gloves will be used when preparing food. Hand washing stations are located throughout kitchen. Ethan is known to be a great story teller and will have you intrigued with his stories that may include his encounters with the likes of Julia Childs, and many others along with some of the incredible experiences he has lived throughout his life time. You will then be served an incredible meal prepared by Chef Craig Kuhns, along with some fine wines from the Rombauer family. You will have a change to personally speak with Ethan and have your copy of The Joy of Cooking personalized. Attendees will receive 20% off in-store purchases the day of event (some exclusions may apply) . Please be prepared with your ID at check-in.
