Join us for a medicinal plant walk in North Central Florida with naturalists LeAnn and Larsen.
A plant walk discussing native medicinals in Florida's unique ecosystems.
This workshop is for anyone wanting to learn more about native plant medicine and Florida's unique ecosystems and how they operate, or for anyone who just likes to be outdoors and learn new things.
We will begin at 9:30am promptly! We recommend you arrive ten minutes early to check in. If you arrive late you will just have to find us down the trail =)
Meet at the trail head Prairie Creek Preserve, accessible by both car and bike on the Hawthorn trail.
7204 SE CR 234, Gainesville, FL 32641
We will be walking outside so please bring boots, sunscreen, water, a snack and prepare outdoor conditions.
Because we are outdoors, masks are not required although they are encouraged, please maintain a healthy distance from others.
Florida herbalist and plant lover LeAnn Averell spends her time teaching classes about medicinal plants, making medicine, and mentoring those seeking a deeper connection with nature. She is the founder of Anhinga School of Natural Arts and Anhinga Botanicals.
