The Italian American Medical Awards, acknowledges outstanding individuals of Italian origin who, thanks to their pioneering spirit and lifetime commitment, have honored their country of origin and given a significant contribution to research, leadership, and mentorship in the medical community.
On Thursday, October 14th, 2021, the Italian American Medical Awards (IAMA), the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum and SMART Congressional Initiative will partner to present our first event - the 2021 Italian American Medical Awards. The proceeds of this years’ event will benefit the National Kidney Foundation, (NFK) which is the largest, most comprehensive and longstanding patient centric organization dedicated to the awareness, prevention and treatment of kidney disease in the US. Together. NFK supports issues affecting funding, treatment, research and more.
The 2021 Italian American Medical Awards (IAMA) will honor numerous outstanding medical innovators in our region including, Alfonso Bellacosa, MD, PhD; Giovanni de Gaetano, MD, PhD; Antonio Di Carlo, MD, CM, FACS, FRCSC; Anthony Macchiavelli, MD, SFHM, FACP; Anthony Mannarino, MD; Giuseppe Remuzzi, MD, FRCP; Pasquale Santangeli, MD, PhD; Alexander Vaccaro, MD, PhD, MBA; and the late Dr. Rose and Dr. Joseph Mattioli. This inaugural group, will be apart of electing future awardee's who will who, will then join the election process.
