Our family is seeking a long term nanny for after school care of our 10 year old daughter (5th grade). POSITION OVERVIEW Weekly schedule: 12.5 hours (expandable to 24 hours - see notes) Hourly rate: $20 - $26, depending on experience Signing bonus: $500 Length: this is a long term position (3-4 years); we are seeking 1 year commitment Benefits: guaranteed hours, holiday pay, and sick leave Her activities include dance, gymnastics, and swimming. She loves reading, playing with friends, and swimming. JOB DESCRIPTION: • Start date: Flexible, preferably by 9/15/2021 • Schedule: see detailed notes, must start by 3:20p M, Tu, Th, F and by 1:30p on Wednesday • Pick up from school and take to afterschool activities • Prepare dinner and school lunch box for daughter • Provide safe and caring environment • Spend time in outdoor parks allowing exploration and play • Encourage positive attitude towards activities and learning • Light housekeeping; daughter is expected to perform her own chores Responsibilities for required hours: (12.5 hours) - Transportation to/from activities/school - Prep for next day school/activities - Assist/coach with homework - Assist/coach child to complete chores - Light housekeeping limited to child areas Responsibilities for expanded role (extra 6-12 hrs) - Light housekeeping (will discuss and agree) - Weekly grocery shopping - Assist with holiday decor, meal prep Compensation/Benefits - $24-$26 / hour for experienced hire; $20-$22 / hour if no experience - All mileage reimbursed at standard rate (currently $0.56 / mile) - Hours guaranteed - Accrues Washington sick/emergency leave - 10 paid holidays Eligibility - Qualified to work in the U.S. - Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 - Age 17+ - Possess drivers license with clean record - Possess vehicle in good condition that can be outfitted with a booster seat Hours (Basic Role) - Monday: 3:15-6:30 pm - Tuesday: 3:15-5:20 pm - Wednesday: 1:30-4:20 pm - Thursday: 3:15-4:20 pm - Friday: 3:15-6:30 pm Additional hours are available during school breaks. Hours (Expanded Role) Negotiable with family to establish a set schedule. This can be spread over M-F based upon availability of individual.
