RIVERHEAD, NY — A Riverhead man was arrested after he drove his tractor through a tent after a dispute at a large party, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, the incident took place at 12:32 a.m. Sunday when officials received a report regarding a disturbance involving a tractor "into a crowd" at Wells Farm on Sound Avenue, police said.
Todd Wells, 60, of Riverhead was located on the farm, along with what appeared to be the remnants of a large party, police said. An investigation revealed that there had been a large party at the location and a dispute had occurred; one of the people involved had operated a farm tractor and damaged the large tent on the property, police said.
No one was injured, police said.
Wells was arrested and charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, a felony, and held for arraignment in Riverhead Justice Court, police said.
