US: We’re a small tree service company with room to grow (pardon the pun). Our services include tree pruning and trimming, hazard tree work and full removals, pest identification, arborist support, cabling, air-spade, and selective soil and trunk injections. We’re tree climbers; we do not have bucket trucks or lifts yet, but do use cranes on occasion. YOU: Must be safe and reliable. You must be physically able to handle up to ten hours a day of manual labor. Your schedule is flexible. You’re willing to take on new skills. And finally, you’re friendly. We work 100+ ft from the ground in high stress situations, level-headedness is a must. Qualifications -Must possess a valid driver’s license. -Must drive standard transmission -Must be able to obtain and maintain first aid certification. -Must be able to obtain and maintain pesticide applicator certification within one month of starting employment. -Must be able to work outdoors under varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions. -Must be able to perform moderately strenuous tasks while wearing a respirator. -Must be able to mix, load and apply pesticides and fertilizers following the label directions Responsibilities -Loads and unloads spray hose, 5 gallon pesticide cans, 50 lbs. Fertilizer, etc. May have to drag up to 300 ft. of spray hose. -Uses, fertilization equipment, back-pack injectors, hand sprayers, and trunk injections. -Keep work area and vehicle picked up and orderly. Keep equipment containers organized and clean. -Carries, lays out and stows other materials, tools and equipment at work site. -Drives or operates trucks and other equipment as assigned. -Services trucks and equipment. Keeps trucks and other assigned equipment in a neat and orderly fashion. -Reports the need for repairs to truck and equipment to crew leader. -Safeguards employees and public from hazards in and around the work area. -Helps enforce on-the-job safety practices. -Be very friendly and helpful to our clients -Learn about and be able to talk about the pests that affect our trees, what we are doing about them, and other tasks that they can do themselves identify the trees we work on -Learn about the pesticides and fertilizers we use and look into more options and better treatments. -Perform AirSpade treatments on trees -Performs other related work when needed. This can include assisting the trimming crew when an additional pair of hands is needed, dropping equipment off in ABQ when needed, maintaining the yard, installing irrigation when needed for trees, and other tasks and possibilities with growth.
