Our family is looking for an experienced individual to help us around the house. We are looking for someone to help with housekeeping duties from A to Z. We have 2 kids (ages 6 and 4) and 2 small dogs. We're looking for the type of person who puts pride into everything they do and someone who has experience with children. We are looking for someone who truly enjoys doing activities with kids - not just someone who watches them. Someone who can create fun & stimulating activities for them is a BIG plus. Figure about 60-70% of the time you will be helping around the house as well as running some errands (reliable transportation is required). The remainder of the time you will be helping with the kids. We are looking for someone who is active and can keep up with our kids. The ideal candidate would be reliable, drama-free and able to do some light meal prep. It's also important for this candidate to be able to collaborate with us and be a team player. We are looking for a positive minded, organized, honest and dependable person to assist our family. Requirements: Must be a non smoker Must have own transportation Preferred if within 20-30 minutes of Lake Grove Experience working with children and maintaining a home Clean Background Check Monday to Thursday 2:30pm to 7:30pm Some additional hours on Friday or weekend may be able to be added if assistant needed a few more hours $18-20/hr (depending on experience) Light Cleaning Throughout House & Keeping Things Tidy (we already have a separate cleaning person come in once a week for more deeper cleaning, so we are looking for someone to maintain the house throughout the week) Daily Laundry For Family Someone who is very organized and can keep things organized throughout house Someone who is open to helping organize areas of the home that need organization Handle Garbage & Recycling (Taking to curb and bringing in bins) Assist mom with children - babysitting, engaging with them, helping swap out their toys, help pack their lunches. Handle Deliveries Handle Purchase Returns/Exchanges (amazon, etc), occasional post office visits Occasional runs to the supermarket/target Brings 2 small dogs to groomer Seasonal/Party Help - Basically help setup for small gatherings and holiday prep Having a positive attitude is very important - we're looking for the glass half full mentality. We like someone who takes initiative and goes the extra step (without having to be told to do so). Also, this is not a live-in job.
