We're putting a new rhythm section behind an acoustic cover duo that has been gigging out for a couple years. With the added firepower, we'll lean our setlist from strummy harmony stuff into rock/funk/dance party music, and have a ton of fun doing it.
We've landed our (AWE. SOME.) new bassist, and now we need his back-line partner. Somebody with deep, groovy pockets, who's a both fun hang and dead reliable. There'll be some backing tracks involved, so best if you have some experience playing to a click, or you're up for the work it takes to get great at that.
Anyone too cool for "Mustang Sally" need not apply--if it fills a dance floor, we're playing it. It won't be ALL that stuff, but we'll definitely hit the dance party standards. We promise we'll make it fun even the thousandth time we play it.
We're weekend warriors, but we want to be at the top of that game, gigging locally maybe 2-3 times a month. We've got pro equipment, experienced and professional players, and our own rented practice space (where you're welcome to keep a rehearsal kit).
Please include some samples in your reply. Doesn't have to be fancy, but we'd like to see/hear you in a band context right up front. Thanks!
