Description

You wanna have fun and make money? Maybe establish yourself as a viable mate for an attractive lady by demonstrating you are socially able to navigate a band? Wanna demonstrate your on stage confidence? Play to a crowd that sings along and knows how to have fun? Me too: I’m not really ready to be a Rock Star, but I already wrote a couple hit format songs — that could take off. But, to begin with — let’s fill a need that’s “out there”. In the words of Jack Johnson “Where’d All The Good People Go”. Jack Johnson doesn’t swear, and his songs are about being a cool person. He married his college sweetheart, most of his songs are about her... He got his start at UC-Santa Barbara — never signed with a record label... and instead created his own label. The world needs more people like Jack Johnson. Doesn’t it?? The goal is 18 Jack Johnson songs with little wing additions into Bob Marley, Sublime, Paul Simon (Call Me Al, the Live version blows me away), G love, maybe an Animal Liberation Orchestra tune, and perhaps a Zach Brown Band or two song — fun, upbeat, sing along concert. Happy, fun, Hawaiian / California vibe for a party all this Wisconsin winter in MKE! I’d like to play once a week: All winter. I’ve played out, been in a band... This Jack Johnson Tribute is just to gain more experience playing live shows. Gotta start somewhere. Jack Johnson has a lot of fans as well, so plug and play on the fan base! So, we aren’t playing to mice or flies — actual fans will show up and sing along (I promise). Tribute bands are getting huge because concert tickets have exponentially increased in price. So, people will pay $5-10 for a “concert like experience”. The bottom line is tribute acts are booking shows for $3,000. In part, it is how the laws are set-up. There’s not really a fee for playing out all Jacks Songs. I play fluently 10 Jack Johnson Songs right now (I’ve been practice for almost a year). I sing and play; so, just would like bass and drums — adding people in isn’t a problem! Piano, percussion, horns... Come along for the ride. I do have some originals. If 500 people wanted to hear them every night —I have no issue with being a bonafided Rock Star! However, I’d like to get some more on stage practice in to be ready. Jack John plays simple guitar really well, learning his songs has taught me a lot! Have fun, win the crowd, I don’t want to play Jack John Songs forever - the goal is twenty shows. It’s a stepping stone — on to the next tribute Band, and writing more originals. Also, hey, if you want to play a certain song — that’s cool, but you learn it, teach me the tune, then I’ll play and sing it. Telling me to go learn a song to teach you — I can’t say I won’t do that, but I have my own list of songs to learn — it’s not easy to play and sing any song — it always takes discipline, and practice. I would like to practice with Bass and Drums ASAP. If you are new to music — this is a starter band!! 4 Sho! Not an end destination. Trying to gain, 10 years experience in two years. This is the proposed play list (Below). The guitar is the main driver — so, I can carry the band. If you are new to bass and drums and you want to play out and be in an actual band — This post will help you achieve your goal! Hit me up! https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRKvom5XghjQ0hWSDdlG4T1RCnA95bCIY
