Join PAEA Region 12 and SNAE for a look at equality in art education. This in-person event is an opportunity to see what has been happening in the world of Disability equality. We will be meeting at The Inglis House Innovation Center located in Philadelphia on Belmont Ave. During the last 140+ years, Inglis has developed relationships with individuals who have disabilities and built programs and services that enable them to overcome challenges and live life to the fullest. With advances in technology, medical care and supportive services, more people than ever are choosing to live the lives they want, independently in the community. There will be a tour of the facility and a presentation by Vicki Landers, President & CEO, Disability Pride PA, and Community Outreach Coordinator for DEE. Participants will be able to explore, discuss and take home teaching materials from this workshop. Participants will receive 2 hours of Act 48 credit. Please bring a mask. Inglis Innovation Center is located at 2562 Belmont Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19131The center sits in the parking lot of Belmont Gardens at Inglis at 2564 Belmont Ave - pull around to the back. Do not pull into the Inglis House at 2600 Belmont Ave, which sits on the corner at the light. Go to the next entrance on Belmont.Come in the front entrance on the right side of the Innovation CenterCall Becky Hughes, PAEA Region 12 Rep, if you have trouble finding it. A phone number will be provided to registered participants through email before the event.Participants will receive 2 hours of Act 48 credit for attending the event. The Pennsylvania Art Education Association actively supports and promotes visual art education through professional development, leadership and service.
