Learn to Juggle! If you can throw a ball up in the air and catch it in your right hand.... And do the same with your left hand..., then I can teach YOU how to juggle! Even if you have convinced yourself that you can't juggle, let me help you to discover that you CAN juggle! If you already know how to juggle, then I can help you to learn other patterns, such as: Half Shower, Double Crossover, Columns, Cheating, Tennis, Pawing, Mill's Mess, Exaggerated Carry-Over, and others. I can help you to improve your juggling skill, and can also help you to improve your "stage presence", should you want to expand in that direction. I can get you started with fun, two-person juggling patterns, such as "Siamese Twins", "Stealing", and "Passing"... If you know how to juggle balls, and secretly longed to learn how to juggle clubs, you've come to the right place! Juggling clubs are easy to learn if you have the right teacher! I have lightwieght plastic clubs that are good to learn with. I also have large Dube' juggling knives (OMG, are those REAL? - Yes!),... and Dube' juggling torches. (Yes, as in Flaaaaaming Torrrches!) I prefer to teach smaller groups of one to four people, to allow me to give each person near-continuous appraisement and guidance. For any minors present, I require a parent, or older sibling to be present. The average age of youngest students that I have been successful with is 11 years old, with two rare exceptions of 10 year olds. I believe this is mainly due to the physical coordination of the child and his or her ability to concentrate and follow my directions. Having said that, I have witnessed a six year old (from a circus family) juggling, so if you and your child are serious, I will overlook my minimum age requirement. If you want me to teach your kid(s), and you know that they are reluctant to "go to a stress-filled, organized juggling class", then maybe we can arrange for me to juggle my 10-to-15 minute routine at your next party, and immediately afterwards I can offer a stress-free, impromptu, "Who wants me to teach them how to juggle?" Usually, at least one kid or adult volunteers, and often the "competitive gene" kicks in, and the shy kids give it a try. (This can be our little secret!) Feel free to use a video camera to record the proceedings, and zoom in on the proud expressions on your child's face once he or she realizes that they can juggle! - It's priceless! - and it makes my efforts worthwhile. I have taught informal, un-sanctioned, juggling classes at beaches, on cruise ships, airports, hotel lobbies, back yards, library conference rooms, and city parks. Let me know what works best for you. Most classes are between 20 minutes and an hour long, but can easily be amended per your requirements. On three rare occasions, folks learned to juggle in less than ten minutes and this amazed me more than it amazed them! I am an old man and I still have a "regular job" that pays the bills. I teach juggling as a sideline, more for MY fun and enjoyment, than for your ability to pay, so my prices are more than reasonable. One lesson that learning to juggle teaches a person, is that you will usually fail before you succeed. After failing and then succeeding, over, and over, you soon learn not to fear failure in all walks of life.
