Description
Children's Defense Fund-Ohio Celebrates 40 Years of Advocating for Ohio's Children This year, the Children's Defense Fund-Ohio celebrates our 40th year anniversary of advocating for Ohio’s most vulnerable children and pushing policies, funding, and programs that produce effective outcomes where children can thrive and flourish. We invite you to join us at the Lincoln Theater in Columbus, Ohio on September 22nd to celebrate our 40 years of advocacy on behalf of Ohio's children and to learn more about our continued work to make Ohio a place where every child is supported to thrive and live in dignity. We are delighted to share that this special celebratory event will feature a conversation with CDF-Ohio Executive Director, Dr. Tracy Nájera, and special guest, Children's Defense Fund's National President and CEO, Rev. Dr. Starsky Wilson. Our goal is to increase awareness about the critical issues affecting Ohio’s children and to build support for the work that CDF-Ohio does in addressing these crucial needs. The 2021 program, Lift Every Voice for Children is an opportunity to reflect on our 40 years of being a leading voice for children, to share our accomplishments, reflect on the challenges ahead, and to chart a path together towards a brighter future where all children can thrive and flourish as they transition successfully into adulthood. It is important that we have an opportunity to share the good work we’ve been leading and engaged in this year, especially our work focused on addressing and impacting systemic racism in our society today as well as our policy and advocacy work directly related to the Covid-19 pandemic. We are incredibly appreciative of your partnership and support and hope that you will register to join us!
