UpaDowna's annual Folk 'n' Flannel Festival and Fundraiser is back again at Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort in Manitou Springs! **OPEN to the first 200 people, Get your tickets now!** Be sure to follow the instructions for admission, lodging, and signing up to be a volunteer if that is something you would like to do! The Folk’n’Flannel is a unique festival & fundraiser that takes place in the fall each year. Festival-goers are welcomed to Camp with numerous activities waiting, yoga classes, paddleboarding, SUP Yoga, biking Garden of the Gods, corn hole tournaments beginning, beach volleyball, music playing, spirit tastings, and beer flowing. Tent, van camping, and lodging campers are escorted to their tent space or lodge sites and they can set up their camping areas in the designated spots to encourage social distancing. Food trucks will come to the event and offer discounts/ deals for dinner and the s’mores for dessert are on us! Various bands will play each night at an“intimate” yet socially distant setting. Complimentary breakfast is served the next morning (for those who stay over night at camp)and multiple UpaDowna activities like biking, stand up paddle boarding, SUP Yoga, hiking, and kids scavenger hunts are available during the event. Festival-goers will also get the opportunity to compete in a corn hole tournament, a “Facial Hair Frenzy” beard and mustache competition, and even take photos in the photo booth with Freddie the Yeti! What: The "Folk'N'Flannel" is a yearly fundraiser for the 501(c)3 nonprofit UpaDowna Where: Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort, Manitou Springs, Colorado When: Fri. Oct. 2nd- Fri Oct 4th How: (Follow these steps when buying tickets) Average price for one day is $70 and includes: accommodations (you'll select: tent, van, or car camping- to book a room at Buffalo Lodge please do so on their site directly and use code: FOLK&FLANNEL for 30% off), complimentary breakfast (if staying overnight), discounted lunch in Manitou, first 2 drinks, access to heated pool, all entertainment including musical 8-9 performances and ALL outdoor activities the next day (Hiking Manitou Incline, SUP Yoga, Open SUP, Yoga, Zumba, Hike in GoG, Bike through GoG, Kids Camp/Family Activities). Please read the following instructions as registration has changed due to the event taking place at a new venue: Step 1: Choose who's going. You? Your family? You and your friends? Your dog?? Order tickets for the appropriate numbers. Step 2: Choose where you're staying. Are you camping in a van, tenting it, staying in a room at Buffalo Lodge ? Make sure to select the nights that you will be staying in the accommodation of your choosing. If you are staying in a tent for both nights - select "Tent Space FRI & SAT" and get $10 off. Friday ONLY tickets are valid from 2pm Friday-2pm Saturday (must check out of room if booked at Buffalo Lodge by 1:15pm). Saturday ONLY tickets are valid Sat. at 2pm- Sunday at 2pm (must check out of buffalo lodge room by 1:15 on Sun). Friday-Sunday tickets are valid Fri. at 2pm-Sun at 2pm. $10 OFF IF YOU COME BOTH NIGHTS! Staying overnight at this event is encouraged, but not required. There will be a lot of beer and alcohol for sale at this event. If you choose to not stay overnight, you will be required to sign a waiver stating that UpaDowna can not be held liable and that it is your sole responsibility to get home safely (via uber, lyft, friend, etc.). Step 3: Choose your activities, sign up to compete in the Cornhole Tournament or Facial Hair Frenzy (a mustache and beard competition)! All outdoor activities are free and all are FUN! Competitions: Not only do you raise money for UpaDowna but winners of the Facial Hair Frenzy go home with sweet products to tame their mane and the team who wins cornhole gets their very own set of boards!! In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, masks will be strongly encouraged for those who are not vaccinated. Social distancing will be encouraged at the event (tent spaces will be 6 feet apart in all directions and guests are required to bring their own tent chairs for the band performances to reduce the spread of the virus). Outdoor activities will be by sign up and will be limited to the specific number of participants outlined and mandated by the state of Colorado during the time of the event.
