Description
Mariah Counts has an incredible way of using her authenticity to connect with and evoke raw emotions from her listeners. Inspired by the likes of Avril Lavigne, Justin Bieber and Chelsea Cutler, Mariah brings a beautiful combination of acoustic melodies, guitar solos and real life experiences to allow listeners to relate and feel the emotion behind every song. With the goal of connecting with as many people in the room as possible, Mariah’s live sets are characterized by storytelling with her songs. Performing her original music and the occasional cover song every Saturday night throughout quarantine, Mariah gave thousands of TikTok users a glimpse into her music world; providing fans and newcomers a much needed respite from the world. Using her musical talent to bring happiness and comfort when it was needed the most helped her gain a new following and build her fan base to over 250k. Mariah’s fans have called for her to take her music across the USA her very own DIY tour, the Lost in the Sauce Tour! This is Mariah's first tour and full length album release! Come celebrate and enjoy a night of great music with Mariah. Tickets are $15. Children under 12 are free. A Message from Sam About Our Indoor Shows Two months ago, when we first started booking indoor shows again, I assumed that requiring our audience to show proof of vaccination was all that would be needed for a safe and COVID-free evening. A few weeks later, on the eve of our first indoor shows, that was no longer clear, and I asked each of those audiences to choose whether or not they wanted to mask up. (They both voted no, but a significant minority in one case caused me to ask for the masks). And now, at this moment (July 30), it seems to me it is no longer a question. Yes, breakthrough infections of vaccinated individuals are gratifyingly rare, and yes, protection against the most severe symptoms is exactly as promised. This is no small thing. But it also seems to be disconcertingly true that, with the Delta variant, when vaccinated persons DO get infected, they can pass it to others, and to each other. This was not true of the original virus. So, for now, and until further notice, our indoor shows will continue to be restricted to vaccinated people, and we will also be asking those folks to wear their masks. (And no, this will not apply to the performers). I am willing to reconsider this policy if a great majority of a given audience thinks we should - but I am actually pretty sure that sentiment is going in the opposite direction. So come and enjoy this indoor show. And don't be shy to sign up for other indoor shows as they gradually reappear. Your vax card - and now, your mask - will make for worry-free music. Thanks, Sam Local musician Sam Rudin recently opened a new music venue in downtown Berkeley called The Back Room, which honors his vision to recreate the cozy ambience of the original Freight & Salvage. Rudin describes his new venture as a small space (100 people max), with great acoustics and comfortable seating, that showcases the musicians with respect and appreciation.
