While reading about whisky is all well and good, it's always better with glass in hand. Fortunately, we'll have Brown Forman's Single Malt Brand Ambassador Rachel Potts on hand to lead us through the core range from BenRiach distillery. We'll be sampling four pours that provide a real feel of the breadth and depth of Scottish single malts: The Original Ten, The Smoky Ten, The Twelve, and The Smoky Twelve (one of Whisky Advocate's top 10 in 2020!) Your $40 ticket (+ Eventbrite fees) gets you a copy of the book and entry to the talk and whisky tasting. Light bites will also be provided in the form of a cheese and charcuterie spread. It's all happening Tuesday, 9/21, at 6:30pm. This event will be held outdoors at a private residence and is only open to those who have been vaccinated. Women Who Whiskey-LBC was launched in October 2019 and is the third California chapter of Women Who Whiskey, an international whiskey appreciation club that Julia Ritz Toffoli started in New York in 2012. There are now a total of 25 wWw chapters world-wide. With over 40-percent of whiskey-drinkers now being women, it was time for women to have a space to become more educated and confident consumers. Women Who Whiskey became exactly that, creating a space for education where women can ask questions in a non-intimidating environment and explore spirits on her terms.
