Description
This beauty is our beloved Aya. She is a one year old "Caucasian Shepard" which is a breed of large livestock guardian dog native to the countries of the Caucasus Mountain region.
We brought her home in order to protect our livestock but she has recently become territorial over my children when strangers come into the house. This has led her having 3 incidents of nipping- not biting, but an open mouth sort of nervous push... Never bit down but scared the guests. We think this may be due to the total lack of socializing during the pandemic.
She could grow up to be a great farm guardian in a home with less constant strangers visiting than ours. My kids begin school again soon and friends visiting may become be a chaotic experience for a dog bred for generations to protect her "flock". She is loyal, sweet, reeeallly loves to swim, and play in snow. I trust her with those she knows 100%. My children can ride her and she sleeps with them. She would never, ever, show any aggression towards her family and with training could be successfully socialized. Theres nothing mean in her nature, just some new protectiveness. We love her so much and know she deserves to have a great more calm life. she is laid back and low maintenance. She just turned 1 year this month. Rehoming fee. All shots up to date. She is pure bred and healthy.
Please email us with some information about your home for her.
