Space is limited to 15 people. Volunteer Work Day potting up Redwood seedlings Space is limited to 15 people. We need help potting up redwood seedlings that didn't make it into the ground last winter. Volunteers will be filling pots with soil and tucking in the saplings, getting them ready to get transplanted this winter. Bring plenty of drinking water and snacks as needed. Light refreshments will be provided. Regarding Covid-19: If you feel sick or if you have recently been exposed to anyone with a positive diagnosis, please stay home. Registration is required as we are limiting the number of participants. Volunteers will meet our staff at the Jenner Visitors Center, across Highway 1 from the gas station in the town of Jenner. Suggested Items to Bring Drinking waterWeather-appropriate clothing (e.g. close-toed shoes, layers, wind breaker)Work glovesKnee pads or a garden kneelerSun protectionSnack or lunch The Jenner Headlands and Estero Americano Coast Preserves are owned and managed by The Wildlands Conservancy (TWC). The Preserves are protected forever as open space by a conservation easement held by the Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District. The Jenner Headlands Preserve is open to the public seven days a week, 8am to sunset, and free of charge.  Please consider making a donation to The Wildlands Conservancy when registering for your hike so that we can continue to offer free public access to the Sonoma Coast for everyone.
