I am hiring a crew of 2-3 experienced, reliable stage hands that once given the task is able to work independently without me holding your hand showing you how it’s done. The event is Friday, Sept. 3 in San Carlos (btwn San Mateo and Palo Alto). The various crews will meet at the venue at 10am on Friday morning to unload the staging equipment from the trucks. Once the staging is complete and inspected for safety, the crews will shift to erecting pop-up tents and hiding it all with Pipe & Drape so the place doesn’t look like the flea market. The job pays $30/hr. in cash and includes a stipend for 2 meals (lunch and dinner). You will have 4 hours guaranteed paid (even if you finish in 3 1/2 hours). We have a window of 10am to 3pm to complete the task so if it takes 5 hours, you will earn $150. That is just the set-up. The show runs from 6-10pm, at which point, my crews will be tearing it all down, packing the gear back into the trucks. Hopefully, with many hands, we can do this in 2 hours, but I will guarantee payment for 3 hours ($90 minimum earnings).
