West Point LEADS is a workshop for 7th and 11th grade students in the Atlanta Region, that challenges them in Leadership, Ethics, and STEM. Workshop is primarily for 7th and 11th grade students with demonstrated academic and leadership potential, as selected by their school leadership. Select 12th grade students will be invited to lead the workshop as partners with the West Point and ROTC Cadets. Educators- escorts will participate in an Educators Workshop (10:00 -12:00 PM) on the same site: Discovery High School in Lawrenceville, GA. Workshop is on Friday, September 3rd, 8:30 AM - 2:00 PM. Lunch is provided. A: The workshop or the Atlanta Region engages 7th and 11th grade students on ethics, leadership and STEM. Developments in technology and other sciences advance at a rapid pace. Our ethical development should, at least, keep pace. Our students that are underrepresented in the STEM disciplines, in both higher learning and the workforce, should understand the nature of STEM disciplines and their opportunities. The workshop addresses many of these concerns. Q: What do students do at a West Point LEADS Workshop? A: Students experience hands on activities and debates. Let us show you in the videos below...
