Press release from Town of Hamden: August 27, 2021 CANCELLED - To Be Rescheduled Hamden Free Summer Concert - 8/26 Sean Nelson's New London Big Band Town Center Park We were really trying to hold out for the concert tonight but due to this unpredictable weather and worsening conditions, it is best for all to cancel and reschedule. The 17 piece band would have to drive over and hour and a half to get here and with scattered thunder storms in the forecast, it is best to keep everyone, including residents and guests, home and safe. With the recent Delta spike, it is no longer an option to move indoors. We will be rescheduling this show at a later date. Please see the official message below: "Please be advised that due to the change in the weather forecast, this evening's concert at Town Center Park featuring New London Big Band has been cancelled.  With the change in the weather forecast reflecting a 60% chance of thunderstorms, it was decided that it was best to cancel and reschedule for a future date.  Please share this information if you are able."
