Our distinctive one-on-one services effectively support the needs of the whole person, not just a diagnosis, enabling them to reach their full potential.  Because Abilities Network exists, Maryland’s child care centers, schools, employers, recreational opportunities, and the community at large can better accommodate the babies, children, teens, adults, and seniors we serve.   *We are prepared to offer a $1800 hiring bonus for the positions of Community Support Associate and Community Support Manager.  WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR... *Community Support Manager:  In this role you will support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by skillfully leading a team to deliver innovative, holistic services. Our Support Managers assist with job seeking/job coaching, life skills and recreation activities. You would be meeting face to face with individuals, coordinating any service needs throughout the region, and spending the balance of the week managing scheduling, documentation and services provided by you and your team.   *Community Support Associate:  In this role, you will join our Community & Employment Partners Team that focuses on skillfully supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in preparing for, maintaining, and succeeding in their employment endeavors, community living, housing, money management, insurance, etc., as a stepping stone toward personal independence.  WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME... Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the customer service or human services field preferred Community Support Manager: Ability to manage and lead a team-min 3 years exp. Community Support Manager: Past demonstration of exceptional skills in the areas of Social Perceptiveness, Active Listening, Active Learning,  and Service Orientation Local travel: must have reliable transportation, as it is necessary to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position. High school diploma or equivalent. Higher Education preferred for Manager positions PHYSICAL DEMANDS...  Must be able to sit and stand for periods up to four hours in duration. Availability to work some evenings and weekends Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
