LIVERMORE, CA — Six people were injured in a two-car collision that sent one vehicle tumbling 600 feet down an embankment in Livermore on Friday night, authorities said.
CHP officers and Alameda County firefighters responded to reports of a crash at Del Valle Road at 11:27 p.m. on Friday.
Two people were air lifted to area hospitals and four others were taken to trauma centers by ambulance, the Alameda County Fire Department said. One person was trapped in a vehicle and had to be extricated after crews stabilized the car.
"Strong work with a horrible situation," California Highway Patrol's Golden Gate Division Air Operations wrote in a Facebook comment.
