Almost Famous Wine Lounge, a new tasting room and music venue in Livermore, CA is seeking individuals who have a passion for good wine, good music, and good people, to join our opening team for the coolest new spot in town! Candidates must be articulate, professional, enthusiastic, energetic, and able to provide superior customer service and hospitality to our guests. We are (will be once opened) located at 2271 S Vasco Road in Livermore and are planning to open for business in October 2021. Training and soft openings would happen prior to our grand opening in October as well. Darcie Kent Vineyards, the parent company of Almost Famous Wine Lounge, can offer shifts at their winery in the meantime while we get up and running while planning for our October open. We will be open Wednesday through Sunday during the day, with Thursday through Saturday during the evening as well. Weekend and evening availability is required. Occasionally some special events and occasional holidays. Daytime shifts will focus on wine tastings as well as bottle/glass sales, while evenings will be strictly bottles and by the glass. *Previous tasting room and/or hospitality experience is preferred but not required* Duties and Responsibilities: · Greet and serve guests while providing them with an exceptional wine tasting experience · Educate and inform guests about Almost Famous wines, wine styles, and wine-making techniques · Sell wine and sign-up guests as wine club members · Handle routine point-of-sale (POS) transactions and customer orders via an iPad based system · Maintain a neat and orderly work environment and assist with tasting room housekeeping · Maintain a professional appearance at all times · Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management team Qualifications: · Must be at least 21 years of age and able to serve alcohol · Able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time · Ability to provide friendly and attentive customer service · Possess some knowledge of wine and/or a have a strong interest in learning about wine · Retail/Sales experience (experience in wine, music and hospitality is desirable) · Excellent communication skills, ambitious, outgoing, friendly, enthusiastic, and goal oriented · Service driven and focused on providing a world-class customer experience · Knowledge of point of sale (POS) business systems such as WineDirect and iPad use is a plus · A team player in an environment that requires flexibility and multi-tasking · Neat and professional appearance is a must Compensation Information: Minimum wage plus tips as well as generous commissions for bottles sold and wine club sign-ups.
