Rooster needs a home ASAP. Please help!

We just found out that one of our chickens is a rooster and are desperately looking for a home for him! My 2 year old and 4 year old love these chickens and my husband is threatening to kill the chicken by tomorrow. I’m desperate to not scar my kids and feed them their pet for dinner! I’m not sure exactly which breed he is, but he’s the lightest color one in this picture. I’ll post a recent one tomorrow.
