Your perception of what led to Biden's pullout is inaccurate. While true Obama passed the buck Trump had arranged for an orderly removal of our troops leaving about 1,000 special forces to deal with Taliban and other terrorists plus keeping control of Bagram air force base, a far cry from what Biden is doing. Trump had a detailed plan with many conditions the Taliban had to meet or be attacked and destroyed as he ordered against ISIS in Syria and Iraq. Our negotiator made this crystal clear from beginning to end forming this agreement. After Trump lost the election and beginning in February the Taliban broke the agreement and began slowly but surely taking over Afghanistan from the borders into the interior of Afghanistan. Our intelligence agencies as well as military monitored their activity notifying Biden but he did nothing to prevent them as the Trump agreement specifically stated would happen and the agreement voided. Biden was under no formal or informal obligation to remove our troops at any point based on violations of the Taliban. Biden ignored all warnings by our intelligence agencies not to close Bagram and months in advance a slow but sure removal of civilians, contractors and Afghan translators. In fact Biden ignored common sense doing the exact opposite of what should have been done. It was no surprise the Taliban took control of Kabul or anywhere else, Biden and Sec. of State Blinken lied to us and the world about it. Everything that's happened was predictable and avoidable but as has been referenced many times before Biden has been wrong on every foreign policy decision he's ever made. What Biden's done is the opposite of courageous it's abysmally cowardly which is why all our NATO allies are furious at his callus actions putting their military, their's and our civilians and everyday Afghan civilians at grave risk. Biden has irreparably damaged our international reputation for his ignorant boned headed Afghan policy decisions. He has left the terrorist Taliban and other terrorists like ISIS and Al Qaeda armed and equipped with some of the most modern and deadly military arsenals for more than 200,000 soldiers, hundred of aircraft and attack helicopters, 75,000 armored vehicles, thousands of artillery cannons, 100's of drones, 100's of 1,000's rifles and millions upon millions rounds of ammunition. It is mind boggling the stupidity Biden used. Short of Iran no terroriat organization has been so well equipped and unconscionably by Biden. You know nothing about this but now you have been informed. it is a shame that people feel compelled to make EVERYTHING a political issue these days. It is clear to all of us that both Obama and Trump passed the buck on the Afghanistan situation. Both of these leaders did not have the courage to pull our troops out. We now know that Biden's exit strategy was flawed. He did not expect the Afghani government to flee the country. He did not expect the Afghan army to run rather than fight for their own freedom. War is not always predictable. The challenges in pulling our troops out of Afghanistan are exactly why Trump and Obama chickened out from doping it. I am grateful that Biden had the courage to end this war. Thousands of lives of U.S. soldiers and civilians will be spared because Biden had the nerve to extrtact us from a situation/war that we never should have been in.
