Description

I am a custom home builder. I build multi million dollar homes for wealthy people. 90% of the crew (mine and subcontractors) are immigrants. My crew, 1 Caucasian and 2 immigrants. Excavation crew, all immigrants Foundation crew, 1 Caucasian and 3 immigrants. Drywall crew, all immigrants. Insulation crew, 1 Caucasian and 1 immigrant. Paint crew, all immigrants. Tile crew, All immigrants. Cabinet maker, 1 Caucasian and 5 immigrants Roofer, all immigrants. Electrician 1 black guy and 1 immigrant. Plumber, 1 caucasian and 2 immigrants. Countertop guys, all immigrants. Fire sprinkler crew, all immigrants. Landscape crew, all immigrants. Hvac crew, 1 asian, 2 immigrants. Flooring crew, 2 immigrants. Solar crew, 2 Caucasians and 1 immigrant. You get the idea. You could not build a home in California without immigrant labor. And if you could it would take longer and be several times the cost. This holds true for most every business in California. Landscaping, Housekeeping, agriculture, hotels, food industry, grocery stores, auto repair, car wash, gas stations. The list goes on and on. Our economy would fail without immigrant labor. So let's vet and document any non criminal immigrant. Give them paperwork and tax them. Let's make these hard working family oriented people a genuine part of our community. Step two would be to reform our immigration system. It's foolish to ignore the reality that South American immigrants are already a vital part of our workforce and community. There ONLY reason why our grandparents stopped at Ellis island is because they knew that they would be allowed in. too America after processing. If they knew that they would be turned back, none of this ships would have stopped at Ellis island. We ALL do what we gotta do to survive.
