To all who have been denied support animals in rentals. Under the Oregon state disability acts, A rental company or landlord CAN NOT deny medical support or emotional support Animals, nor can they charge pet rent or increase your rent. You will need proof of medical need and a letter of recommendation from your doctor. They do reserve the right to request you find a new animal if they have proof your animal has become a nuisance, destructive or aggressive. You do have to keep them up to date on shots and licensing. Know your rights.
