Description

Rehoming a bonded pair of cockatiels. The lutino is a male and the grey face is a female. We were told they were 12 weeks old when we bought them about a month and a half ago. We will not separate them as they get depressed when they are not with each other. They are not playful with humans but we got them to where we could hand feed them but they do not step up. The lutino male, Sunny Bird, will sing softly and play happily. The grey faced female, Diamond, will play with him too but she is very quiet. They come with their cage, bowls, toys and most of their perches. Back story: We are nubes to the parrot world and did all the research we could and decided on cockatiels. When we went to the breeder we told him that we were nubes, didn't know much, but were looking for hand-tamed cockatiels. He sold us these two birds telling us that they were handfed/raised so they would "tame right down". That was not the case. We can feed them by hand and the female is touch point trained but they do not like to interact with us playfully and are still shy. Our other cockatiel that we got around the same time, screams at them all day long and is jealous of this male because he has a girl. These birds are not loud at all like the one we are keeping, which is my daughters bird. They are very sweet, not loud and are a beautiful couple of birds. They have always been healthy. $200 for them and the cage, bowls, toys and some perches. 240 6846
