(Weehawken) Job Type: Part-time Salary: $15.00 to $25.00 /hour Hudson Barks has a new opening for a dog handler/ walker. We specialize in positive reinforcement techniques to provide dogs with a happy and stress-free walking experience. We have a lot of fun, and we take our job very seriously. We work in all conditions; walkers must be from Weehawken or the immediate area, have access to a car on a regular basis, a telephone with texting capacity, and be super reliable and equipped to manage in the outdoors. We prefer individuals with prior knowledge of dog behavior or hands-on experience with dogs –we welcome dog trainers in training, vet-technicians, dog shelter volunteers, and experienced dog walkers, or related backgrounds. We will train the ideal candidate. We offer continuing education in the field of pet-dog care. What we are looking for: ● Reliable access to a vehicle and auto insurance with a clean driving record ● Smart phone, IOS or Android ● Take consistent photos during walks ● Fit to walk ● Love dogs and understanding of dog behavior ● Have a positive attitude, be communicative ● Be extremely reliable ● Live in Weehawken, NJ or in the immediate/nearby area ● Be able to pass a criminal background check and provide references ● Be able to commit to work for a minimum of one year If you are interested please email us at [email protected] and make sure to include your phone number.
