Description

This man stole fruits (wax apples) from a garden that is taken care of by an ailing old woman. The woman has been in and out of the ERs, hospitals, multiple doctor’s appointments, testings, etc. for the past two years (right before and during the COVID-19 pandemic). She currently tgoes to physical therapy to help her build up her strength again, walk after having multiple falls, etc. On top of all of that, she has hemodialysis three days every week. Gardening is her way of destressing outlet and getting in her regular exercises. I saw this man with my own eyes and the security cameras around the property caught him stealing her fruits (without asking her). I confronted him calmly, myself/personally about it and he got hostile and started yelling at me that he didn’t take/pick/steal any fruits from anybody’s garden. (Why get mad/angry if he didn’t take/pick anything?) He kept on changing good story from one thing to the next… First, saying that he was just drinking water and looking at the fruits… So, I asked him why he needed to drink water and look at the fruits by going deep inside… Then (second), he said that he was washing his hands… So, I asked why he had to wash his dirty hands into my garden when he can wash his hands and pour the water out in the streets and/or in the garden’s property he was visiting… Then (third), he said why should he still little fruits… I got tired at this point. I am posting on here because I want to bring attention to this and this is this man’s first offense. I give warnings on first offenses.
