it is a shame that people feel compelled to make EVERYTHING a political issue these days. It is clear to all of us that both Obama and Trump passed the buck on the Afghanistan situation. Both of these leaders did not have the courage to pull our troops out. We now know that Biden's exit strategy was flawed. He did not expect the Afghani government to flee the country. He did not expect the Afghan army to run rather than fight for their own freedom. War is not always predictable. The challenges in pulling our troops out of Afghanistan are exactly why Trump and Obama chickened out from doping it. I am grateful that Biden had the courage to end this war. Thousands of lives of U.S. soldiers and civilians will be spared because Biden had the nerve to extrtact us from a situation/war that we never should have been in.
