SELECTOR JOB FAIR 9/2/2021 10am-2pm 1315 Tolland Tnpk, Manchester CT. Our NEW Manchester location we will be unloading, stocking, selecting and loading product out to a grocery chain in the CT area. FHI associates will handle dry grocery and general merchandise for our customer. This position will be third shift for start up, and then positions may be available on other shifts. Warehouse Order Selectors are responsible for building customer orders in a timely and accurate fashion. Selectors receive direction on the orders they are tasked with and are then responsible for physically lifting each case of product and stacking the product on a pallet. The Warehouse selector is required to select customer pallets and operates a pallet jack, forklift, and other warehouse equipment. Selects orders and places in a designated pallet drop off area. Operates pallet jack in a safe and efficient manner. Uses vocal-lect for selecting store orders. Shrink wraps and labels with correct truck, stop and other required information. Stages pallets. Runs off standard order to the loading docks. Keeps area clean and debris out of work area. Immediately informs lead, supervisor, or manager of any potential safety threats. Reports to supervisor or lead any violation of company policy. Follow all company policies and procedures; protects company and host assets. This position is designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Equipment training is provided. Qualifications Experience working in a warehouse environment (e.g., order selector/picking product storage, product staging, powered pallet jack/forklifts, etc.) preferred but not required. Willingness to work the required schedule. Ability to speak and write English for effective communication. Basic math skills. Attention to detail and ability to follow directions. Interact respectfully and courteously with associates, co-workers, management, and customers. Ability to work in a team environment. Working conditions Warehouse environment with extreme heat and cold temperatures. Physical requirements Ability to lift, walk, bend, twist, reach, push and squat most of the workday. Handle cases weighing from 25 to 95 pounds and can expect to handle between 50 and 200+ pallets on any given day.
