Celebrate trees with a tree planting seminar, memorial tree plantings and a guided tree walk through the Forest Home Cemetery Arboretum. Trees do so much for us. They provide shade, reduce energy costs and they reduce storm water runoff that can carry pollutants to our waterways. Throughout our community, they improve the mental and respiratory health, and break up heat islands. Join us for a Tree Appreciation Day. 10:00 am Tree Planting seminar and Memorial Tree plantings 11:00 am Guided Tree Walk The Forest Home Cemetery Arboretum is the largest green space on Milwaukee's Southside and the home to over 2500 trees of 100 different species. Open daily for self-guided tours and leisure activities. Joggers, dog walkers, bicyclists and birders are all welcome.
