This weekend includes a chess clinic for beginners and a round robin tournament for all skills levels to get a chance at checkmate. The young kings and queens chess weekend will be start with a skills clinic on Friday Oct .1 at 6pm. If you’ve never played before or just want to fine tune your skills, there will be three separate levels to get in on the fun: beginner, novice, and advanced. Then on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 1pm, we will have a special round robin tournament for those same three skill levels. You don’t have to go to the clinic to be in the tournament! You can register for the TOURNAMENT ONLY if you wish. The cost is $15 to do both days (Clinic and Tournament Entry) and $10 if you only want to play in the tournament. Ages 5-21 are encouraged to sign up and skill levels are chosen at registration. BE SURE TO SELECT YOUR SKILL LEVEL SO AS TO ENSURE WE PUT YOU IN THE RIGHT CATEGORY.
